On 24 June, President of the German Bundesrat Manuela Schwezig, together with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jaeger, visited NMP "Babyn Yar" as part of her official visit to Ukraine.

Ms. Schwezig thanked the team of the Babyn Yar State Reserve for their work in preserving the memory of the Holocaust and noted that what she saw at the memorial complex was impressive in its scale and approach to the concept of memory.

Rosa Tapanova, head of the Babyn Yar National Museum, thanked Ms Schwezig and Mr Jaeger for the support Germany provides to the museum's initiatives, including the Stolen Childhood exhibition, which is on display in June and July this year, and expressed her hope for further cooperation.
